As a Science, Technology and Innovation Institute (ICT) qualified under Brazilian Federal Law No. 10,973/2004, SLV Institute conducts and supports applied research projects in partnership with companies, laboratories and academic institutions across the region.

Rafael Becho — Principal Investigator (PI)
Rafael Becho is the Principal Investigator (PI) at SLV Institute, responsible for defining the scientific scope of research projects and for institutional coordination with funding agencies, universities and R&D partners. He is also President of the Institute, representing it across the North Corridor ecosystem.
Under his coordination, the Institute submits and executes applied research projects in the lines described below, with the methodological rigor required of an accredited ICT.

As an ICT, the Institute signs R&D projects as a scientific partner, which unlocks funding lines that are closed to ordinary companies.
